Nick Cannon is set to be a father for the eight time. The news comes just over one month since the tragic passing of Nick's five-month-old son Zen, who he shared with model Alyssa Scott. Zen had been diagnosed with Hydrocephalus, a condition in which fluids build up in the cavities of the brain, putting pressure on the organ. Nick opened up about the devastating loss and his last weekend with the boy on The Nick Cannon Show. “This weekend I made a valid effort to spend the most quality time I could spend with Zen," he said. "We woke up on Sunday and went to the ocean… "And then I had to fly back to New York for the show. By the time I got in the car and was headed to the airport, I had to turn around.” Nick also shares 10-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan with ex-wife Mariah Carey. He has a 4-year-old son Golden “Sagon” and a 1-year-old daughter Powerful Queen with ex Brittany Bell. He also welcomed 6-month-old twins, Zion Mixolydian and Zillion “Zilly” Heir, along with Abby De La Rosa in June 2021. Nick previously spoke out about why he had fathered so many kids, saying he did it "on purpose".
