Serena Williams is pregnant with her second child.
Serena Williams has shared the moment she revealed she is expecting her second baby to her daughter, and it might be the most wholesome thing we’ve seen this week.
The tennis legend revealed she is pregnant with her second child at this year’s Met Gala and hours before she headed to the glamorous event, she told her daughter she was going to be a big sister.
Capturing the special moment on camera, Serena shared the happy moment on YouTube yesterday to kick off her channel.
She said at the start of the clip, while showing a positive pregnancy test: “I just took this test today and I’m super happy. I’m just praying it keeps working.”
The mum then got ready to share the news with her five-year-old Alexis Olympia Ohanian, alongside her husband Alexis Ohanian.
“Olympia does not know right now that I am pregnant, but she did call me fat and then she got really, like, stressed out. She was like, ‘Mommy, you’re fat,’” Serana said. “I tried not to take it personally, ’cause I’m like, super into fitness.”
Serena said she was “really excited to see [her daughter’s] reaction”.
The clip then shows the couple on the couch with Olympia between them.
Serena continues: “Remember how you’ve been praying for a little sister or brother? Well, we went to the doctor, and it turns out I’m not getting fat, but I have a baby in my belly.”
Olympia then looks at her mum with a huge smile before saying: “Are you kidding me?”
“No,” Serena says, laughing. “You’re gonna be a big sister,” the couple then adds.
Hugging her mum and then screaming in joy, Olympia says: “Oh my god, I’m so excited.”
