Santa wishlist: The first ever Bluey video game lands just before Christmas

Rory Cashin

Parents and kids alike are sure to love this video game!

You already know who Bluey is if you’ve got children of a certain age in your family. Any parents or grandparents or uncles or aunties or pretty much anyone in the proximity of a child aged three to seven (or older, we know some grown-ups who are unashamedly fans of the cartoon), they’ll absolutely know what Bluey is already.

If you don’t, Bluey is the leading character in a hit animated show about a six-year-old puppy, along with your younger sister Bingo, their mum Chilli, and their dad Bandit (and everyone loves Bandit, because Bandit is amazing).

About 150 episodes of the show are currently available to watch on Disney+ in Ireland and the UK, but this year the first ever Bluey video game will be released… and just in time for Christmas!

The entire family can play Bluey: The Videogame at the same time.

As per the official synopsis for the game: “Up to four players can play as Bluey, her sister Bingo, Mum, and Dad . Embrace your inner Bluey with minigames seen in the show such as ‘Keepy Uppy’ and ‘Magic Xylophone’ and complete activities to earn in-game rewards including new costumes, stickers, playable episodes, and locations.”

“Bluey: The Videogame has been designed with flexibility in mind, allowing fans to engage with the game and explore it at their own pace with the ability to jump between story quests, activities, and exploration at any time. Variable difficulty features have been included that allow the game to be accessible and fun for both preschool and older fans including UI on/off toggle, simple written on-screen instructions and full voice-over.”

Designed for players aged 3 and over, Bluey: The Videogame will arrive on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC on Friday 17 November.
