Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly “besotted” with each other since stepping back from royal life.

The couple announced in January 2020 that “after many months of reflection and internal discussions”, they would be making a transition this year – and intended to step back as ‘senior’ members of the royal family (you can read their full statement here).

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have since relocated to Canada with their nine-month-old son Archie – and are said to be stronger than ever after making the move.

“They are besotted and very sweet with each other,” an insider told PEOPLE of the pair, who are said to call each other ‘H’ and ‘M’.

The source – who is said to be someone within the Sussexes’ circle – added that Meghan and Harry are “are trying to live their life as regular parents.”

“Archie is the priority. It’s very much still about taking care of him and putting the family first,” they explained. “He’s a happy kid—he loves to laugh. Archie and Harry have such a good time together. And Meghan is a great mom. She’s very much about tending to him.”

Otherwise, the couple are said to spend their time relaxing indoors or hiking near their home on Vancouver Island.

“They are real homebodies who love to chill out with Archie and the dogs,” they added.

And while the couple are currently enjoying their time in Canada, they are also said to be looking for a base in Meghan’s hometown of Los Angeles.

“They love being in Canada, but they are looking at houses in L.A. too,” the source added “They’ll likely have houses in both places.”
