The hair guru is a fan of conditioning before shampooing, because he says this will help stop your hair from becoming excessively dry.
When it comes to shampooing, and THIS is the really important bit, only apply the shampoo to your scalp, using “circular motions”.
Then, rinse the shampoo but tie the conditioned ends up while doing so. Once the shampoo is sufficiently rinsed, then wash the conditioner away.
Sounds complicated, so why bother with all that effort?
According to Lars, this method allows you to wash your locks gently, without “roughing them up”.
This means you’re avoiding friction which means less hair loss, and so less hair down the drain.
Thinking of how I usually scrub my hair vigorously in a bid to remove product build-up and grease, I for one am definitely guilty of causing hair loss.
Even if you have hair on the thinner side and you're looking to lessen the amount you lose with each wash, this sounds like a good method to improve hair density.
It might take a couple of tries to get the hang of this but it will be worth it in the end.Explore more on these topics:
