Face oils are currently the buzz of the beauty world, and bloggers and editors alike all singing the praise of these pricy drops.
And if you are still on the fence about the effectiveness of oil when it comes to your face, maybe this recent clip of 46-year-old Catherine Zeta-Jones – and her mega-dewy skin – is enough to convince you.

The Oscar-winning actress, who is currently in the midst of a promotional tour for the new Dad’s Army film in which she plays a glamorous journalist, credits
argan oil as the secret of her youthful complexion.
In an interview, Zeta Jones admitted travelling takes a toll on her skin and explains: "I’m finding, just from travelling from New York and being in heated hotel rooms, my skin feels like a Walker’s crisp at the moment, but I’ve been using some argan oil just to saturate my skin at night, so it has some nourishment as I sleep, to start the day a little bit more hydrated."
Argan oil, which many are familiar with as the main component in the popular Moroccan Oil hair products, is produced from nuts of the argan tree, hich is native to Morocco and has long been used by Berber women to treat ailments such as dry skin, acne, wrinkles, joint pain and even stretch marks.

Interestingly; the rather gross sounding harvesting method involves letting goats eat the nuts, which are softer and easier to crack once they have passed through their gut. (Before you freak out, the cosmetics industry has developed more modern extraction techniques, so you don't have to worry about putting goat poop on your face!)
According to beauty experts, the oil contains twice as much vitamin E as olive oil and is rich in antioxidants. On top of that, it also has anti-inflammatory properties that can help those with arthritis or rheumatism.
But Zeta Jones is clear about one thing (and now we like her even more!): True beauty is an inside job. "I think happiness is the best tonic for keeping us youthful," the Hollywood star, who also credits her two children – Dylan, 15, and 12-year-old Carys – as her greatest achievements, explains. "Being happy with who you are inside radiates on the outside."
