"We came up with the shake last week after trying to be creative in the kitchen. It just went mental with customers and on social media over the weekend."You f*cking bet it did. 3,700 likes in 24 hours on Instagram. Here's why: The Tella Ball is a MILKSHAKE made with NUTELLA and topped with a NUTELLA DOUGHNUT through which a straw is threaded so that one can CONSUME the MILKSHAKE THROUGH A DOUGHNUT. It's. Just. Too. Much The craziest part is it's being marketed as a breakfast option....
Then just when you thought it was safe to go back on Instagram THIS happens:
Images via Instagram Obviously a doughnut-topped milkshake doesn't come along every day so we got pretty excited here at HerFamily.ie and because we are kindly folk who don't want pesky geography to keep you from experiencing the Tella Ball we devised a recipe. Behold the HerFamily take on the Tella Ball Serves 1 insanely greedy person Ingredients: 250 ml almond milk (milk would do just fine also) 1 frozen banana 1 cup frozen berries A scoop of ice cream (or as you can see from the pic below I didn't have any ice cream and instead used an Oreo ice cream sandwich – I'm happy with this decision. The point of the Tella Ball is to let loose.) 3 tablespoons of Nutella Toppings: 2 donuts (That's right, TWO. A step too far? I think not) A straw 2 kitkat fingers (I went waaaaay too loose but damn it was good) Anything else tasty you have lying around (sprinkles, nuts, marshmallows – Go nuts)The inside of our Tella Ball that goes on top of our Tella ball shake #nutelladoughnuts #nutella #tellaballs #foodcraft #milkshake #erskineville #sydney #innerwest #donuts #doughnuts #dessertporn #sydneycommunity #sydneycafe #cafe A photo posted by Foodcraftespresso&bakery (@foodcraftespresso) on
Directions:
Blend ingredients, top with donuts, stick a straw through and enjoy. If other people are pretending to be disgusted by you right now, ignore them they are just jealous.
