1. Salted Chocolate Frozen Banana Bites
These dark chocolate banana bites are a decadent example of how glam and versatile frozen bananas can be.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe (but not soggy) bananas
- Melted dark chocolate and coconut oil (1 cup chocolate chips, 2 tablespoons coconut oil)
- Coarse sea salt
- Cocktail forks or toothpicks
Directions
Cut the bananas into your desired size of bites. Place on a foil- or parchment-covered baking sheet. Then poke them with the cocktail forks. Freeze for at least 2 hours or until frozen.
Remove and dip each banana in melted chocolate-sauce until covered. (You can dip all the way, or just halfway.) Sprinkle with sea salt and place back on cold baking sheet until dried.
Serve immediately or re-freeze.

2. Frozen Banana Treats
Think of it as your go-to breakfast, only on a stick. Oh, and the kids will love them!
Ingredients
- 6 very ripe bananas
- 6 wooden craft sticks
- 8 oz. fat-free vanilla yogurt
- 1/2 cup granola-based cereal
- Waxed paper
- Baking sheet
Instructions
When making frozen banana treats the riper the bananas, the better. As the bananas ripen, they get sweeter but become gooey. The texture won’t matter, as they will be frozen anyway.
Peel the banana and cut it in half. If it’s a small banana, leave it whole if it will fit on your wooden stick. Remove all of the strings from the banana.
Skewer the banana gently on the wooden stick. Make sure the stick goes through the center of the banana. Be careful not to put the stick all the way through the banana, as it might break when it comes time to freeze it.
Spread some fat-free vanilla yogurt on the sides of the bananas. Roll the coated bananas in a granola-based cereal of your choice.
Line a baking sheet with waxed paper. Place the coated bananas on the baking sheet and slide the sheet into the freezer. Freeze the bananas for about an hour until they’re firm.

3. Peanut Butter Banana Popsicles
Basically a really delicious smoothie bowl – in popsicle form.
- 2 cups almond milk
- 3 ripe bananas
- ⅓ cup all natural creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup vegan chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- ½ cup chopped salted peanuts
- Add the almond milk, bananas, and peanut butter to a blender and puree until smooth. Pour mixture into popsicle mold and freeze.
- When ready to make the popsicles, spread a single piece of parchment paper over top of 2 baking sheets.
- Once popsicles are frozen solid, melt the chocolate chips in a small bowl in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds. Stir the coconut oil into the chocolate chips.
- Working quickly, remove one popsicle and spoon or drizzle with melted chocolate over the top 2 inches of the popsicle. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts and set on parchment paper.
- Use the same technique on all of the popsicles and then place back in the freezer until the chocolate hardens. Serve!
