Important: Birds Eye has given the potato waffle a MASSIVE makeover

Welcome to the future lads. We all grew up on potato waffles, right? We'd have them for breakfast, lunch and dinner back in the nineties. And truthfully, most of our college years were spent munching on them too. However, we've moved on and grown up (mostly), and apparently, so has the potato waffle. The lovely folks at Birdseye have officially launched their new sweet potato waffle, and we're delighted. These shiny new waffles are gluten free and suitable for vegans, which means that everyone can bask in their glory. Naturally, the new version of the iconic potato waffle is coming in slightly more expensive than the OG, but worth it tbh. Birds Eye has said these divine potato snacks will be available in Tesco from 12th November. Hey, that's so soon! Marketing manager of Birds Eye, Pete Johnson, said: "We've seen a tremendous rise in the popularity of sweet potato, so we decided to give our classic Birds Eye Potato Waffles a modern makeover." "We combine the much-loved shape of our classic potato waffles with a delicious new recipe. We're confident that they will become a new family favourite."
