A bookshelf often takes up so much space, while walled bookshelves can make a room feel smaller. But most of us want to keep some sort of book display in the kids' rooms that will encourage them to read.
Reading is fundamental a number of reasons – it feeds a child's imagination, adds to their vocabulary and presents them with scenarios from which they can learn empathy.
But if you're short on space and want to cut down on clutter, there's actually a really handy
home hack for book displays.
All you have to do is attach IKEA's Bekväm spice racks – just €4 each – to the side of either a desk or dresser like
this mam did.
You just need a level, some screws and a drill and there you have a front-facing, clutter-free book display. Simples!
