2. Chanel Blue Serum
Yes, it's pricey, but when you see how your skin looks after even just a couple of applications, you won't look back – we promise. The beauty brains at Chanel have used botanicals from the world's blue zones (areas where inhabitants live longer) in this new anti-ageing super-serum, and hands down; we were impressed.
Chanel Blue Serum, €95, available from Brown Thomas
3. SkinCeuticals H.A. Intensifier
If you haven't yet tried the amazing products from SkinCeuticals, you need to sort that out quickly. The only problem? Once you try them, you will forever keep coming back for more.
The H.A, Intensifier is a first-of-its-kind corrective serum that harnesses the incredible moisturising capabilities of hyaluronic acid (the #1 skin care ingredient to be looking out for, by the way!) plus advanced ingredients that work to really boost the skin’s hyaluronic acid levels. The result is visibly smoother, plumper skin with long-lasting hydration.
We have tried it and can attest to visibly smoother, plumper skin that feels oh-so-soft.
SkinCeuticals H.A. Intensifier, €91, available from Skinshop.ie
4. Clarins Limited Edition "Sunkissed" Bronzing & Blush Compact
Nothing says summer like gorgeously sun-kissed skin. But baking in the sun is pretty mush a fast-track to wrinkles and ageing skin, so we will be faking that lovely summer glow with the new limited edition bronzing compact from Clarins.
And never mind that the shade is stunning and will make you look like you just came back from a week on the Cot'd'Azur – the packaging alone is enough to make you want to run to your nearest Clarins counter, we think – so perfectly tropical it makes us want to book our holidays right now.
Clarins Limited Edition "Sunkissed" Bronzing & Blush Compact, €47, available from Debenhams, Boots and Clarins counters nationwide from April 17th.
5. Lancome Vissionnaire Crescendo Progressive Night Peel
I was so excited to finally get my hands on Lancome's Visionnaire Crescendo and boy did it not disappoint.
This overnight progressive peel does multiple things at once, such as helps fight multiple signs of ageing, erase fine lines and wrinkles, shrink enlarged pores and tackle lack of luminosity. Split over two phases, think of it as a boot camp routine for your face!
Choc-a-bloc with salicylic acid—which works to even the skin’s complexion—and glycolic acid that helps to smooth the skin’s surface, you are guaranteed to see a real change in your skin after the 28-day "program" – I know I sure did.
€75, available from House of Fraser, McCabes Pharmacy and selected Lancome counters nationwide
6. Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Radiance
This peachy-hued primer not only evens out your skin, making it perfectly flawless and ready for makeup, it is also packed with hyaluronic acid, plumping up your complexion and making it look visibly smoother and younger.
Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Radiance, €36, available from Boots and TheLoop
7. Artistry Exact Fit Perfecting Concealer
8. Clarins Multi-Active Eye Revive
This eye cream has pretty much become my lifesaver, erasing all signs of having been up seventeen thousand times during the night with my bed-hopping toddler.
Not only does it feel deliciously cool to apply, it also gives the skin under my eyes a lovely light-reflecting glow (making me, I swear, look at least five years younger!)
Clarins Multi-Active Eye Revive, £35.00, available from Clarins.co.uk
9. Barechic Skin Blue Flower Face Serum
