If there is one trend you need to know about this summer – no matter how blasé you normally are about all things fashion – it is the embroidered sleeve.
Or, to be more specific, embroidery in general. It is everywhere.
We are particularly loving the dresses and peasant blouses, widely inspired by Ukranian brand Vita Kin, whose intricately embroidered dresses and tops are sold in luxury department stores like Brown Thomas here in Dublin, Matches in London and Bergdorf Goodman in the US.
However, as our budgets don’t really stretch to the €1000+ price tags these originals retail for (sob!), we are delighted that the trend has now trickled down to the high street – with everyone from Penneys to H&M and Zara all having inspired items in their collections this season.
And if you are going to invest in just one of these bang-on-trend items this month, we have found the absolute most stunning one – and the best thing? It is a steal (at least compared to the Vita Kin ones) at only €46.
This blouse – which, we’ll admit – bears more than a little resemblance to the original dress above, is from one of our high street favourites, Next, but you better hurry – some shops have already started selling out of certain sizes.
The top has also started doing the rounds on Instagram – another surefire sign that this is one hot buy right now.
