This hair colour is officially the Next Big Thing (and you’ll see why!)

"A woman who changes her hair is about to change her life." That's what they say, anyway. And if you are ready for a new look (and life!) right about now, we have just the hair colour for you. Say hello to tiger eye hair – the shade literally blowing up both Pinterest and Instagram right now. Just like its stone namesake, this shade, when used in your hair, is the most gorgeous mix of warm brown and caramel highlights – and the best bit? It needs crazy little upkeep to stay looking great.

This is what Corey Tuttle, a hairstylist for Honey Artists—an agency representing styling professionals—explained to beauty website Byrdie recently about the trend:

"A tiger eye is an ancient stone worn for protection and confidence—it's known for its rich browns and golds."

Oh, and don't worry if your stylist is not yet familiar with the term tiger eye hair – just ask for "hand-painted caramel highlights paired with a warm, or dark chocolate base," according to Corey.

Others use the term 'tiger eye balayage' – either way; we are calling it, this is the hair colour to rock in 2017.
