Steal her style: Channel 3 of our FAVE Amy Huberman mirror-selfies

Sophie White

The Hube knows a thing or two about looking good which is how we justify creepily stalking her collection of mirror-selfies on Instagram in the feverish quest to emulate her style.

Here we decode 3 of our favourite Amy mirror-selfies for a fresh take on the tricky transitional period between ‘Winter masquerading as Summer’ (June, July and August) and actual Winter (the other nine months of the year – not bitter or anything).

We call this one Chic-smart-casual (it’s a mouthful, but we reckon it sums it up):

The heel of this season is shaping up to be the kitten court (miaow) which is good news for anyone who prefers NOT to be in extreme pain at all times. The low-heel is infinitely more comfortable while still giving a little lift to any ensemble. This longline waistcoat is totally luxe though if the budget baulks at the price try Mango for a nice alternative.

Cosy camel

Keep the seventies vibes on into Autumn with a Jane Birkin-esque camel coat. Pair with these cute clogs for that Indian Summer we’ve been assured is just around the corner then swap for some chelsea boots like these from River Island when Winter inevitably hits.

L-R: Coat, €80 at Topshop; jeans, €25 at Forever 21; shoes €59.95 at Zara

Grown-up glam

The nights out invariably become less frequent once kids are on the scene. We find planning the night out, orchestrating babysitters and preparing complex instructions for bedtime rituals often leaves no time for actually getting a nice outfit together. Take your cue from Amy: Make a bold pattern statement and keep the accessories sleek and simple for a look that is unfussy and still edgy.
