The most popular TV home EVER has been revealed… can you guess who lived here?

We might lust after the walk-in wardrobes of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City and long for the opulent en suites and terraces of the Kardashian clan, but when it comes to our own homes, there’s only one famous TV scene most people have tried to emulate.

Monica’s apartment in the iconic sitcom Friends has been revealed as the interior design style that most people have attempted to recreate, according to a survey by ebay.co.uk.

The set, one of the most used in the show, was home to every one of the Friends’ lead characters at some stage in the show’s 10 year run.

From the purple living room walls and vintage French posters to the blue open kitchen storage, the decor birthed ‘shabby chic’, a trend that influenced design worldwide.

According to the survey, Sex And The City and Downton Abbey came in second place, with Gogglebox the third most influential show in terms of interior decor and Game of Thrones coming in fourth.

While the lease on the Friends’ apartment (495 Grove Street) was handed down to a lucky Monica by her grandmother, the estimated price of the New York home these days is a whopping €3,149, 223 – leading us to suspect Ms Geller must have been up to something shady behind the scenes in order to pay the rent on her part-time chef’s salary.
