PSNI urge public to stop sharing photos from Tyrone accident

“Do not add to their distress”

The three victims killed in Co. Tyrone crash on Thursday were all members of the same family.

The victims have been identified as brother and sister, Dan and Christine McKane, and their aunty Julia McSorley.

Following the tragic accident, the PSNI warned the public not to share photos of the scene online.

It is believed the family was travelling back from a funeral when the crash occurred.

The PSNI confirmed that a minivan and lorry collided on the A5 Tullyvar Road on Thursday morning.

The accident happened near Aughnacloy in Tyrone at around 7.20 am on April 27th.

Four other people were also injured in the accident and are being treated for their injuries in hospital.

The PSNI has launched an investigation following the tragic accident.

They are also urging the public not to share images of the accident on social media.

The PSNI is aware of “inappropriate images” being shared on social media, as well as on other sites.

“Three people have sadly lost their lives in this tragic collision and our thoughts are with their family and friends today.

“Do not add to their distress by viewing or sharing these images,” the PSNI stated.
