During the research it was found that 36 per cent of people will try and start their New Year Resolution on the first Monday of January, with 29 per cent choosing the 1st of January, and 24 per cent starting it as soon as they go back to work!
Weight loss (39 per cent) is the main reason most people will set a New Year Resolution, with 17 per cent saying they want to eat healthier, 19 per cent wanting to exercise more, 7 per cent saying they want to try and be less stressed, and only 5 per cent saying their resolution would be to try and save some money.
The biggest challenge when it comes to healthy living is loss of motivation very quickly – with 48 per cent of people admitting to this.
On the other hand 18 per cent have said a healthy lifestyle takes too much times and effort, and 14 per cent have said they don’t even know where to start when it comes to making healthier choices.
The survey, conducted by Curry's also found that 64 per cent of people said that they have invested or will invest in a smart watch or fitness tracker in order to help them to achieve their fitness goals.
As I personally enter the New Year in isolation, I think the only resolution I want to make is to (fingers crossed) have a better 2022 than I had a 2021.Explore more on these topics:
