Why are we not surprised?

It’s August and you know what that means, it’s nearly time for kids to go back to school.

All you mamas out there are probably running around from shop to shop to buy your little ones school items such as books, copies and pencils.

You’re also probably hoping that your children will take good care of their things this year. However, they’ll more than likely lose something along the way.

A recent survey carried out by My Nametags found that 96 percent of Irish parents said their children misplace at least one school item during the school year.

The most common things lost include stationary, pencil cases, school clothing and sports kits.

It seems that school children between the ages of 6 and 10-years-old are most likely to lose their pens and pencils, while kids from 13 to 17-years-old are more likely to misplace their calculator.

The research conducted by Coyne Research also found that one third of mamas and papas spend around €91 on such items.

To help prevent your little ones from losing their bits and bobs you could use My Nametags personalised labels. They tags will also help your children know which items are theirs.
