A new crisp flavour is on the way to M&S and it just might make your day

Good news! After the feared Prosecco drought, Prosecco flavoured crisps (yes, crisps) are on the menu at M&S

The countdown to Christmas is underway… well technically – the days are getting shorter after all.

Every year, we look to food giants and purveyors of the Percy Pig among other delicacies, Marks and Spencer, to tell us what’s next in the culinary sphere. According to a Marks & Spencer spokesperson this Christmas we can look forward to some slightly unusual flavour combinations including the aforementioned Prosecco crisps which come dusted with edible pink glitter and are described as “Winter Berries & Prosecco with Fizz & Sparkle” designed to festively fizz on the tongue.

Other slightly questionable foodie delights include the ‘sprout sausage’ which looks like a fairly innocuous item until one bites in and gets a mouthful of surprise sprouts. Surprise vegetables are the worst kind of vegetables as we all know. The spokesperson billed the sprout sausage as “a great way to sneak this Christmas dinner must-have onto the plates of sprout avoiders”. Crafty.

The true wild card of the new Christmas range has to be the Brusselmole, like guacamole only with… brussel sprouts. So like guacamole but not as delicious then? Time will tell.
