Absolutely Heartbreaking Scenes As Tragic Twins Laid To Rest

Alison Bough

Tragic 23-month-old twins, Robbie and Charli Manago, have been laid to rest in Sydney after being found unconscious in the family’s pool on the 20th of December.

Mum Fleur found her two youngest children in their backyard pool on the 20th of December and, alongside a neighbour, began performing CPR. After being rushed to hospital by paramedics, the brother and sister spent Christmas on life support. But sadly little Charli died on St. Stephen’s Day and her brother Robbie passed away just three days later.

On Thursday over five hundred mourners attended the twins’ funeral at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sydney. ‘Somewhere over the Rainbow‘ was played as the children’s heartbroken parents Robert and Fleur supported Robbie and Charli’s four other siblings Bryan, Antonia, Angelica, and Trinity.

Australian News.com reports that the local primary school issued a statement on behalf of the Manago family, asking people to pray for them:

“Our community has shared, in a small way, the sadness and despair of the Manago family. Throughout this time, we have received many requests of ways to help and support them.

The heartbroken parents Robert and Fleur Manago of Kellyville Ridge, have requested no flowers. Instead, they have asked for donations to be made to the Family Support Unit at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

Thank you to everyone for your prayers and support in so many other ways during this time.

We continue to pray for the Manago family for God to give them the faith to know that Charli and Robbie are always with them and the strength for their life to return to normal, especially Bryan, Antonia, Angelica and Trinity.”

The country’s police have issued an appeal for people to be aware of their children around  swimming pools.
