Data analysts believe Meghan Markle will give birth on this date

We're in speculation overdrive.

The waiting game.

Since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced they were expecting their first child, one thing has remained unsaid – the due date.

We’ve speculated, made educated guesses and used the helpful timestamps like the fact she’s on maternity leave to help us figure out when she’s going to give birth and now, as we’re nearly 100 percent sure it’s going to be late April/early May, it looks like data analysts have “worked out” her official due date.

According to data gathered by the Office of National Statistics, it looked at how many babies were born on specific dates over the past 22 years to see when women in the UK are most likely to give birth and in late April, there’s one date that’s constantly higher for births than any other – April 28.

But what if it’s May when baby Sussex arrives?

Since we’re on the fence between the due date being in late April or early May, if it’s May when Meghan goes into labour, the same statistics suggest the baby will arrive on May 8. Interesting.

Earlier this week Meghan and Harry created their own Instagram page, the page is where we’ll expect the baby news to break as well as all the official first pictures that’ll follow and so, if you’re on royal baby watch, this page is important.

There’s plenty of specualtion over baby names too – you can read the weird and wonderful here.
