Adam King launches collab with Irish Urbanwear brand and it is adorable

Ellen Fitzpatrick

Adam King has joined forces with Irish urban wear brand Human Collective for their first ever kids’ clothing collection and it’s absolutely adorable.

The limited edition kids’ range offers a collection of crew neck sweatshirts and hoodies, available for children ages 0-8 and they are all complete with the Adam King sign of approval.

With colours including Mellow Yellow, Peach, Stem Green, Marjorelle Blue and Cream Pink Melange, prices start at €39.50 and feature the brand’s ‘equals symbol’ logo.

The logo aims to share the message of quality, respect, representation, and dignity, adding in Adam’s now iconic virtual hug symbol, ‘A Hug For You,’ which is all about caring for others.

Speaking about the collection, Adam said: “I really like the Human Collective jumpers – they’re in lots of lovely colours! I love that my Hug is on them.”

While his parents Fiona and David added: “We are just thrilled to work with Conor and the team on this gorgeous clothing line. We have been fans of Human Collective for a long time, not just because of their positive message of inclusion and celebrating diversity but also because their clothing is sustainable, colourful, and really comfy! We are very proud to see Adam’s hug, which is all about caring for others, on this collection.”

The collection is made from 100% sustainable fabrics, including an 85% organic *GOTS-certified cotton and 15% recycled polyester which is naturally breathable and comfortable, especially for children.

Striving for representation, founder of Human Collective Conor Buckley said this message needs to be taught to children from a young age to encourage more inclusion and acceptance.

“We are delighted to launch our children’s clothing range in collaboration with Adam King,” founder Conor Buckley said.

“Equality and inclusion are two values on which we place great importance at Human Collective, and I know they are also significant to Adam and his family.

“The visual representation of Adam’s Virtual Hug always evokes a feeling of love and connection, and this symbol ties in perfectly with our messaging.”

The collection is available online from www.wearehumancollective.com or in-store from Human Collective, St.Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre, Dublin 2.
