At Home: Gardaí seek public’s help in finding missing 17-year-old

Gardaí have called for the public’s assistance in finding 17-year-old Cian O’ Leary.

The teenager has been missing from Cork city since the evening of Tuesday, October 5th.

Cian is 5″6, of slim build, with brown short hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a grey tracksuit and Nike Air runners.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact Gardaí in Cork on 021 455 8510.

Public warned of increase in mobile scams as Christmas approaches

Gardaí are urging the public to be cautious as mobile scams are set to increase.

They believe more scams will appear closer to the Christmas holidays.

It is believed there has been an 80% in scams since the pandemic.

A Garda detective superintendent told Newstalk: “The advice we would always give is don’t click on the link, take your time, just think about it.

Retirement age could increase to age 68 by 2039

The retirement age in Ireland is set to increase.

According to reports, the retirement age will be 68 by the time we reach 2039.

Minister Heather Humphreys has recommended increasing the age by three months every year from 2028.

The Pension Commission report will be reviewed.

Minister Humphreys said Ireland’s pension scheme needs a major overhaul.

Covid: Pfizer seeks authorisation to vaccinate 5-11-year-olds in the USA

Pfizer has appealed for authorisation of a Covid vaccine for 5-11-year-olds in America.

The drug company has formally requested emergency approval.

“We’re committed to working with the FDA with the ultimate goal of helping protect children against this serious public health threat,” Pfizer commented.

Pfizer conducted extensive studies and found that the vaccine is safe for young children.

Full FDA approval has already been given for children aged 12 and up in the USA.

Adele, who returns with new music next week, spoke to Vogue about the end of her relationship with Simon Konecki.

The Rolling In The Deep star is notoriously private about her personal life.

However, Adele revealed to Vogue why they decided to divorce.

She explained, “It just wasn’t right for me anymore. I didn’t want to end up like a lot of other people I knew. I wasn’t miserable miserable, but I would have been miserable had I not put myself first.”
