Ailish Walsh was killed in London last week.

A man has been charged in connection with the death of an Irish mum.

28-year-old Ailish Walsh was stabbed to death in North Hackney, London last week.

The mum-of-four was pregnant with her fifth child at the time of her death.

37-year-old Liam Taylor, who was reportedly Ailish’s partner, has been charged with her murder.

He appeared before Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Monday, December 19th.

Police confirmed they were called to an address in North Hackney on December 15th.

They received “reports of an unresponsive woman at an address in Rectory Road, N16”.

They stated;

“Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family has been informed.

“If you can help the police investigation call 101 or Tweet at MetCC and give reference 6902/15Dec.

“Alternatively, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

A GoFundMe has been set up to support Ailish’s family during this unthinkable time.

Funds raised will help bring Ailish back to Ireland. They will also support her family as they organise her funeral.

A friend of the grief-stricken family is organising the fundraiser.

They said Ailish was a “beautiful, amazing young woman of 28”.

Ailish’s friend also confirmed she was pregnant with her fifth child, a baby girl.

“I would like to try and raise as much money as we can to help the family with the funeral costs and get Ailish back home to Ireland to put her at rest and be back with her family.”

“I know times are hard at the moment but you cannot imagine how hard this is for her family and children
so please please no matter how much or how little every penny will help.”
