
Alison Hammond confirmed as new Bake Off host
Bake Off has a new presenter!
Alison Hammond has been announced as the new host of The Great British Bake Off.
The presenter will take over from comedian Matt Lucas later this year.
Alison confirmed the news on Instagram this morning.
She wrote, "It’s OFFICIAL!!! It’s happening The Great British Bake off!
"Let’s have it ! The cake that is," she added.

Alison will host the show alongside Noel Fielding.
Fielding congratulated his new co-host and said he cannot wait to work with her.
He also said they will be like "two naughty kids".

"The bakers will love you," he added.
Alexandra Burke and Holly Willoughby also congratulated Alison on her news.
Holly Willoughby wrote, "This is the greatest news babe!!!! Congratulations and save me a slice!!"
Stacey Solomon added, "Best news ever."
"Congratulations my darling! Perfect job for a perfect girl," said Vanessa Feltz.
Alison will take over from Matt Lucas.
Last December, Matt Lucas confirmed he was leaving the show.
As much as he loved working on Bake Off, the comedian admitted he struggled to find time for other projects because of it.
He also said being part of the wholesome show was a "delicious experience".
We cannot wait to see Alison hosting Bake Off alongside Noel Fielding later this year.
