Here’s who could replace Ryan Tubridy on The Late Late Show

Who could it be?

Earlier today, it was announced by RTÉ that Ryan Tubridy would be leaving The Late Late Show by the end of the season.

Ryan first started hosting the show in December 2009, with his first guest  The Late Late Show being then Taoiseach Brian Cowen.

Commenting on the news, Ryan Tubridy said: “It has been a privilege to host the national institution that is the Late Late Show for the last fourteen years. I want to thank the tremendous teams of producers, researchers, crew and executives who have done the hard work to keep the show on the road over the years.  Many have become dear friends.”

Following his announcement, everyone has been wondering who will take over.

As of now, Miriam O’Callaghan is who most people are putting their money on.

Boyle Sports saying there is 6/4 odd of her getting the gig.

The gambling site has also said there is a 4/1 chance of Claire Byrne and Brendan O’Connor replacing Ryan, while Sarah McInerney is at a 5/1 chance.

Tommy Tiernan and Ray D’arcy could replace the broadcaster.

Tommy Tiernan is at a 6/1 chance, and Jennifer Zamparelli is at 8/1.

Ray D’arcy is at 12/1 and Daithi Ó Sé is at 16/1.

While a number of well-known RTÉ names made the list, there were some unexpected people included.

Bertie Ahern, Enda Kenny, Vogue Williams and Joanne McNally also made the list.

Ryan’s final episode of the show is set to air at 9.35 pm on Friday, May 26th on RTÉ One.

He will continue to present his RTÉ Radio 1 show on weekdays from 9 am.

RTÉ is yet to make a decision on who will take over from Ryan. However, the decision will be made in the summertime.
