All-round cool gal and model Coco Rocha welcomes a new baby girl

What did she call her little mini me?

Sive O'Brien

The Canadian-born (and of Irish decent) supermodel can now add ‘supermama’ to her name. Yesterday she welcomed a beautiful, healthy baby girl into the world.

And she hasn’t been shy about spreading the word. She even posted a snap on Instagram of herself just before the arrival. And, *puke* how bloody amazing does she look? I can’t. Even…

So what did they name her? Ioni James Conran (James Conran is her Dad).

Coco added: “James and I are so proud to welcome into the world our healthy and beautiful baby girl, Ioni James Conran! She’s the best of both of us and completely perfect from head to toe. #BabyConran is now officially@IoniConran!

And she is a total cutie.

Ioni already has her own Instagram account, too, at just two days old – impressive. She accompanied her first few selfies with some super-cute commentary:

“Just a few hours old and I’m already a master of emoting. Here I present just 4 from my repertoire: “doubting”, “bored” “suspicious” and “intrigued.”

Iona, you’re a lucky little girl – not only do you have awesome genes (with a bit of Irish-ness thrown in, of course), but an inspirational role model like your mum. Not only is she a beauty, she’s also super-smart and only one of the few models who has spoken out against the prevalence of eating disorders in the modelling industry. In an open letter to The New York Times on her blog, she wrote, “How can any person justify an aesthetic that reduces a woman or child to an emaciated skeleton? Is it art? Surely fashion’s aesthetic should enhance and beautify the human form, not destroy it.”

Not only that, but she also launched Coco Rocha for Senhoa, a collection produced together with Senhoa, an organisation helping Cambodian survivors of human trafficking.

Best of luck hot mama, we hope it goes well in the coming days. And your little bundle isn’t making us broody. Not broody at all…
