Temperatures are going to reach 24 degrees today but there will be some rain

We are loving this weather.

In Ireland, it doesn’t really get any better than this. While yes, we may be absolutely dying in our office blocks and fighting over fans, we’re not going to complain too much in case the sun decides to hide again.

Met Éireann say that we’re in for another beautiful day today with temperatures reaching up to 24 degrees, however one area will be hit by a bit of rain.

The weather forecaster said: “Many areas will be dry today, with bright or sunny spells, but some scattered showers will occur, mainly in parts of Munster and Connacht. Maximum temperatures 18 to 24 Celsius, in mostly moderate southerly winds.

“More persistent rain and drizzle will develop in parts of the west this evening, mainly in coastal areas, with freshening southeasterly winds.”

As for tonight: “Tonight will remain dry in most areas, but outbreaks of rain and drizzle will develop in west Munster and in parts of west Connacht, with a risk of some heavy, thundery bursts, especially along the coast. A few isolated showers may occur elsewhere.

“Very mild and humid, with some hill and coastal fog. Minimum temperatures 14 to 17 Celsius, in mostly moderate southeasterly winds, fresh to strong in southern and western coastal areas.”
