We’re wishing him a speedy recovery.

With days away from the first live show of Dancing with the Stars, the series has suffered another withdrawal as judge Julian Benson has pulled out of the show this week.

He won’t be gone for long but will be missing from the first two live shows, this week and next week, due to illness.

There won’t be a missing seat on the judging panel, however, with creative director Darren Bennett taking over while he’s off.

RTÉ has released the following statement ahead of the show:

RTÉ can confirm that Julian Benson is unwell and will miss the first two shows of Dancing with the Stars. During his absence he will be replaced by guest judge and creative director Darren Bennett.

Former Miss Ireland, Aoife Walsh, only pulled out of the show a few weeks back when it was revealed that she had to leave the competition because of a fractured toe.

Walsh stubbed her toe while getting out of bed and subsequently fractured it, leading to her missing a crucial two weeks of rehearsals.

As they say in showbiz, the show must go on and thankfully they were able to find a replacement in Alannah Beirne.
