"Widespread rain for Thursday, heavy and thundery, with local flooding. Hill and coastal fog remains a problem with low cloud and mist. Temperatures 12 to 14 degrees. Moderate to fresh southeasterly winds will become fresh to strong and gusty northwesterly, later in the day".
Friday is set to start dry and calm but conditions will change throughout the day. Although there is no storm warning in place as of yet, the weather is set to worsen significantly throughout the day and the national forecaster is monitoring the situation closely. "Strong gale force winds at sea and strong and gusty winds overland on Friday night. The strong winds will be accompanied by heavy rain, bringing a risk of local flooding. This is due to the track of a deepening Atlantic depression".
