Apparently Suits want to get Meghan Markle back on the show for a pregnancy storyline

G’luck to them.

Apparently, Suits are desperately trying to get Meghan Markle back on the show for a cameo while she’s pregnant.

The severely unlikely return to the programme has seemingly been an idea producers have been firing about for quite some time now, despite the fact that it will probably, definitely, never happen.

If it does though (it won’t), NBC Universal have apparently said they’ll pay a multi million dollar donation to a charity of Meghan’s choice.

Right.

The Mirror reports that the lads over at the network are adamant that they want Meghan to reprise her role as Rachel Zane.

They’re so into the idea that they’re even willing to write the Duchess’s baby bump into the script and shoot all her entirely brief and not-going-to-happen scenes in the UK.

“We could be done in half a day or less,” a senior producer told the publication.

“No final figure has yet been arrived at but negotiations are likely to be opened in the very near future.

“I’ve heard sums ranging from two to six million being kicked around and that sounds a lot – but it would be one of the biggest marketing coups in TV history.”

It would indeed, lad.

Meghan’s stint on Suits ended the same time as her co-star’s Patrick J Adams’, who played Mike Ross, did when the pair eventually married and headed off, never to be seen again.

The source said that the assumption is that Rachel and Mike have been living a very happy life together, starting a family, and just being generally alright.

“I believe we could get away with only one or two lines from Rachel, perhaps saying how she would never have believed she would have such a wonderful life. This particular route would beautifully mirror real life.

“It would give one or several charities a big boost, portray Meghan as a thoroughly modern royal… and give us one of the biggest ratings blockbusters of our existence.”

They’re not wrong, like.

But c’mon.

Hardly.
