Their daughter passed away at just 8 months old.
Ashley Cain and Safiyya Vorajee have broken up.
The couple announced the news on Instagram this afternoon.
They explained that they broke up a couple of months ago, but remain close friends.
Ashley said they will always love one another, especially after losing their daughter Azaylia.
Their daughter Azaylia’s one-year anniversary is on April 24th.
Speaking about their split, Ashley said: “After a devastating and heartbreaking year, Safiyya and I decided to separate a few months ago.
“This was an incredibly tough decision which we needed to keep to ourselves for some time to figure out our own journey privately.”

He continued, “The past few months have demonstrated that we remain the closest of friends, spending time together every day.”
Ashley said that they will “love, care, and support each other forever.”
“We are bonded by our powerful journey together.”
He added that they’ll forever be connected by the “eternal love” they have for their daughter, as well as their commitment to her foundation.
Ashley and Safiyya lost their daughter Azaylia on the 24th of April 2021.
She received treatment for cancer, but it sadly wasn’t enough to save her life.
She was only 8 months old.
Azaylia was diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia at just 8 weeks old.
Safiyya Vorajee recently opened up about how she struggled to cope with her first Mother’s Day since her daughter’s heartbreaking death.
She said she had a lump in her throat and her eyes were also sore from crying.
She recently said, “I’m really struggling with the ache in my heart.”
“I feel suffocated by today,” she shared.
The mum said she always wakes up with a broken heart, but it was worse on Mother’s Day.
