Avoca Recalls Hummus And Colcannon Over Listeria Concerns

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland released a statement recalling two of Avoca’s food products.

The food retailer has recalled Avoca Hummus and Avoca Colcannon due to the presence of Listeria monocytogenes.

Listeriosis is a serious disease which can be life threatening, particularly for pregnant women, the elderly and other people with a weakened immune system.

The affected products are those with the following specific use by dates: Hummus use by 07.02.17 and Colcannon use by 04.02.17.

Consumers who have bought the implicated batch are asked to dispose of the product or return it to the place of purchase.
