It’s finally Friday, and to be honest, I couldn’t be happier. Especially since it’s a Bank Holiday! Anyway, you more than likely have fun and lovely plans this weekend, so the weather will play a role. According to Met Eireann, tonight it will be cloudy and wet over east Leinster and much of Munster, with further heavy rain at times in many coastal areas. Cold and mostly dry elsewhere, with some frost and mist in parts of Ulster and north Connacht. Lowest temperatures of zero to +4°C. Yikes, I’m cold at the thought! Tomorrow will be a bright, breezy and fairly sunny day. “Some showers developing along the northwest and parts of the west coasts, but otherwise dry. Top temperatures 7 to 10 C. Saturday night will be breezy for a time over Ulster with some showers, but these dying out gradually, with the fresh northwest winds easing. “A dry clear night elsewhere. Lowest temperatures -1 to plus 3 C., with frost forming quite widely, coldest of all over the southern half of the country, with a risk of a few icy patches.” Sunday will be mostly dry, bright and sunny, with just the odd light shower on the north coast. Top temperatures 9 to 11C., in light to moderate north to northwest breezes. Sunday not so bad, eh? However, it will be cold and frosty overnight, with lows of -2 to plus 2 C. Some icy patches possible. As for your Bank Holiday Monday, expect early frost clearing to give a dry, bright, sunny morning. Further sunshine in the afternoon, but cloudy periods also.
