This is the reason why the BBC has refused to air Princess Eugenie’s wedding

We get it… but it’s still crappy for Eugenie.

Princess Eugenie will tie to knot to Jack Brooksbank on October 12.

And while Prince Harry and Meghan Markle pulled in close to a billion viewers worldwide when their wedding aired on the BBC, it seems the TV station doesn’t have the same hopes for Eugenie’s big day.

According to Cosmo, the BBC reportedly stated that it doesn’t believe her wedding will be able to get the right numbers, and therefore has refused to air the nuptials live.

“The BBC was approached because they have a special relationship with Buckingham Palace and a formula that works,” the source said.

“At the end of the day, this is going to be a huge Royal Wedding, with all the senior members of the Royal Family in attendance. But nobody wants to take the risk and spend the money it would cost to put it on air.”

It has not been confirmed whether the wedding will air on any other British TV stations, such as ITV or Sky, but it is said the Palace think the BBC has “dropped the ball.”
