It’s a big year for the Dowling-Gourounlian family
Brian Dowling and Arthur Gourounlian are expecting their second baby together, making their daughter Blake a big sister for the first time.
This week, she was brought along to the ultrasound to see her sibling, which left her dad, Brian, understandably, very emotional.
At the ultrasound appointment, Brian shared a sweet clip of him and his daughter when they got to see a scan of the baby and hear the baby’s heartbeat.
Following the emotional moment, the Six O’Clock Show host took to his Instagram stories to talk about their new arrival, who is due this summer.
He shared some of the ways that Blake is adjusting to the incoming changes.
“When we went for a scan. When we say the word ‘baby’ now, Blake starts ‘Shush baby. Baby’s sleeping’, She’s practising,” Brian gushed.
“It’s so emotional knowing she’s going to be a big sister. She is a year and a half old. It’s so emotional seeing your other baby growing beautifully.
“All is good, so we are so excited. I do think it is going to be a summer of madness, a summer of love and a summer of family.”
The couple’s second child is being carried via their surrogate, Brian’s sister Aoife.
Aoife also acted as their surrogate when she carried Blake and brought her into the world for the dads in 2022.
