Brian Dowling said they’re still going ahead with the christening
Brian Dowling and Arthur Gourounlian are going ahead with their daughter’s Christening despite a recent ‘blood boiling’ meeting with a priest.
The dads confirmed that their baby girl Blu will definitely be christened, but they’re opting for a different church after a horrible experience.
Speaking to the Irish Mail on Sunday, Arthur explained that they’re in the middle of planning the christening.
“Yes, we are definitely having Blu christened
“Obviously, it won’t be at “that” particular church, but we are looking into other churches where we can have Blu christened,” he added.
Arthur had previously opened up about the unfortunate encounter on his Instagram story with the professional dancer telling his followers that the meeting was short-lived.
He said, “Well guys what can I say? My meeting with this particular [priest] was very short-lived
“Having that meeting – my blood was boiling and I couldn’t wait to leave that room,” Arthur shared.
The dad-of-two continued, “I’m absolutely appalled and disgusted and it’s 2024. Honestly, I feel so angry inside me – you have no idea.
“So that church that we were choosing… thank you and goodbye,” he shared.
The dads welcomed their daughter Blu into the world via surrogacy in June.
Brian’s sister Aoife Dowling was their surrogate again after she carried their first daughter Blake in 2022.
