Investigation launched after discovery of woman’s body at Luas stop

The body was found near Broombridge Luas.

A Garda investigation is underway following the discovery of a woman’s body in Broombridge. The body was found near the Broombridge Luas stop in Dublin 7.

Emergency services and Gardaí rushed to the scene on October 24th.

Medics pronounced the woman dead upon arrival.

They then removed her body from the scene to the City Morgue. A post-mortem will take place in due course.

Luas services were temporarily disrupted but are now running as normal.

They tweeted;

“Passengers, please be advised Green Line services are operating with delays due to an operational issue.

“Luas tickets are valid on Dublin Bus for the duration of this disruption.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused,” they added.

Gardaí confirmed they’re investigating “all circumstances” following the woman’s death.

A spokesperson told The Irish Mirror;

“Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances” following the woman’s death.

Gardaí confirmed that a post-mortem will take place at a later date.

“The results will determine the course of the investigation,” they shared.
