Caprice Bourret quits Dancing on Ice and releases a statement to explain her decision

Caprice Bourret has left Dancing on Ice.

As fans of the show will know, Caprice recently changed partners and started working with Oscar Peter, after starting the competition with Hamish Gaman.

At the time, it was announced Hamish and Caprice would no longer skate together but there was no reason given.

Last week, Caprice returned to the show having taken a week’s break and skated with Oscar.

It was confirmed today that the model had left the ice-skating competition via a statement from her agent.

“It’s true that Caprice is no longer participating in Dancing On Ice. It’s been a hard few months and she’s had to keep silent for contractual reasons.

“Her mental wellbeing has been affected over the last two months and recent stories leaked to the press are not only salacious but extremely hurtful. Now she’s taking some time to recover and look after herself and her family.”

Caprice and Oscar were saved last week after dancing in the skate-off alongside Radzi Chinyanganya and Jessica Hatfield.

Hamish recently took to social media to thank his fans for their kindness and support, which “brought him to tears at times”.

His Instagram caption read:

“Hi everyone. Thank you so much for your kind messages. I’ve been overwhelmed by your love and support—it’s brought me to tears at times. Honestly, I’m not okay, but I’d like to thank Amelia, my pro family and ITV for doing all that they can to support me. I’m comforted knowing the truth always comes out in the end, and I hope we can focus on the skating again now”.

It’s been an eventful week for the show, Libby Clegg is unable to perform on tonight’s show due to illness and fellow contestant Maura Higgins is also under the weather.
