A Child Rescue Ireland (CRI) Alert has been called off after a 14-year-old girl was located safe and well. Svetlana Murphy was reunited with her family last night and an 18-year old male was arrested by the Police Service of Northern Ireland and is currently in custody.

The child rescue alert was issued yesterday morning with Gardaí saying they had “serious concerns that there is an immediate and serious risk to the health or welfare” of Murphy.

Gardaí have now appealed for privacy for the family saying, “We would like to thank the public, media and other agencies for assistance provided during this time.No further media action is required at this time.”
