Check your Christmas lights if you purchased them online recently!
A safety issue has been identified with a number of batches of Achin Outdoor String Christmas Lights.
The products are sold on Amazon and present a risk of electric shock, according to the CCPC, as they do not meet the requirements of the relevant regulations.
The brand is Achin, the model number for the first recall is ILE27-2010030. The Amazon ASIN is B09PFRFSV1, however, the batch number and barcode are unknown.
The product was sold online through Amazon and there are approximately 33 affected products from this batch in the Republic of Ireland.
The second round of Achin lights recalled for the same reason have the model number ILE12-20-10050.
The Amazon ASIN is B09PG3Y1DL, but once again the batch number and barcode are unknown.
The product was sold online through Amazon and there are approximately 48 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.
What to do:
If you purchased one of these products please discontinue use immediately. You may wish to contact Amazon to see if there are any remedies available to you. This can be done via your user account on Amazon.
