Mum and her two children targeted by group of men in Co. Clare

The incident happened when they were out walking in Clare.

Gardaí in Co. Clare have launched an investigation after a mother and her two children were attacked.

It is believed the family was out walking when they were targeted by a group of men.

The mum and her children are said to be incredibly shaken after the incident.

According to The Irish Mirror, the mum and her two children were walking along Drumcliffe Road in Ennis. It was approximately 1 pm on Sunday, April 2nd.

During the walk, three men approached the family.

One of the men grabbed the mother and another tried to take her handbag.

They then took the children’s phones and smashed them.

A third man stood talking on his phone as the attack took place.

Sergent Triona Brooks told Clare FM, “This was very traumatic for the mother and her two children.

“She was approached from behind by three males, one grabbed her from behind and another tried to take her handbag and broke the strap in the process.

“The children both had mobile phones in their hands and one of the males took these and smashed them off the ground.”

“If anybody witnessed this incident or anyone who may have dashcam footage, we’re asking them to contact Ennis garda station.”
