A decision has been made.

Ever since it was revealed that Meghan Markle’s father would not be in attendance at tomorrow’s royal wedding, one question has been the topic of conversation for many – who would walk her down the aisle?

Contenders to fill the position included her mother Doria Ragland and Prince William, however, Kensington Palace has now confirmed Prince Charles will walk his future daughter-in-law down the aisle to his son, Harry.

In a statement released just moments ago, Kensington Palace said:

“Ms Meghan Markle has asked His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales to accompany her down the aisle of the Quire of St George’s Chapel on her Wedding Day.

“The Prince of Wales is pleased to be able to welcome Ms Markle to The Royal Family in this way.”

However, Prince Charles won’t be with Meghan the entire way as she plans to walk part of the way on her own.

According to reports, Meghan will make her arrival with her mother Doria by car to Windsor Castle before joining her bridesmaids and page boys at the door of the chapel.

They will then walk with her through the first section of the chapel where she will be met by Prince Charles at the choir who will walk her from there to the altar.
