Actress Sair Khan is going to be a mum
Coronation Street actress, Sair Khan has revealed she is going to become a mum for the first time.
The actress announced her pregnancy on Instagram this afternoon and we couldn’t be happier for her.
Sair explained that she needed to take time away from social media because of everything going on in the world.
She told her followers that it felt wrong to post her news with the horror unfolding in Gaza.
However, the actress said it is important to remain hopeful for the future.
She said, “It’s been a little while since posting on here which has been a real mix of emotions.
“With all that is happening in the world, it didn’t feel like the right time to share but we also know it’s okay to keep hope and pray for peace whilst acknowledging that we feel blessed and grateful.”
Sair said the last year has been incredibly tough for both her and her partner Nathan.
He had to undergo chondroblastoma surgery on his pelvis. Doctors also discovered the tumour had spread to his lungs, but the couple are remaining hopeful despite it all.
Sair wrote, “Last year was a challenging time for us both with Nathan’s chondroblastoma surgery on his pelvis. It’s been a long road to recovery and still has many obstacles ahead as we deal with the spread of the tumour to his lungs.”
“Life can be difficult and there’ll always be challenges to face but there are also important lessons to be learned and gifts to be cherished.”
The mum-to-be gushed, “We’re so excited for the arrival of Baby Chilton in Spring 2024.”
