Downton Abbey’s Allen Leech has announced his engagement to his girlfriend of two years.
The Irish actor has been dating Jessica Blair Herman since 2016.
Herman is also an actor and has appeared in shows such as Modern Family and American Crime Story.
Leech posted his announcement on Valentine’s Day but said that he had proposed a while ago.
He wrote:
“Happy Valentine’s Day @jessicablairherman First one as a fiancé!
“Thank you for saying yes and for making me the happiest (And no I didn’t do it today. It’s been a while).”

Leech is best known for his role as Tom Branson in BBC’s Downton Abbey.
In the period drama, he played the driver turned accidental aristocrat when he married Lady Sybil and she tragically died.
Herman posted her own Instagram about the pair’s engagement yesterday too, saying that the day Leech proposed to her was “one of the best days.”

The couple started dating two years ago after Leech ended his relationship with Sky Sports presenter Charlie Webster in 2015.
Webster said that the two of them were “very career driven” and that it had been the wrong time for them to be in a long-term relationship.
