Santa Claus is coming to town!

Dr. Tony Holohan has shared some uplifting news with the children of Ireland.

The CMO reassured them that Santa will have no problem visiting Ireland this year. Covid is not going to stop him from delivering gifts to children across the globe.

He shared “He’s able to travel around freely and visit different countries and houses. We don’t have to worry about Santa picking up Covid or passing it onto other people. That’s good news.

“The other bit of good news is that the reindeer can’t get Covid either.

He added, “Santa and the reindeer will still be able to do their business on Christmas Eve for all the boys and girls who are good.”

“They don’t need a Covid test either because they’re not going to pick up Covid and pass it around the world, so we don’t need to worry about that.

“Santa’s workshop wasn’t closed during Covid, you don’t have to worry about things like that.

“All you have to worry about is just being good for your parents and going to bed early on Christmas Eve,” Holohan shared.

There’s no doubt that this Christmas will be strange for many of us. Some of us will be celebrating without loved ones or even isolating after being diagnosed with Covid.

But we will persevere and do our best to focus on the little glimmers of joy, just like this video.

It’s harmless Christmas fun that reassures kids who have been through so much this year.
