Sharing their appreciation they thanked the public and encouraged people to keep donating, “Thank you from the bottom of our hearts – we really couldn’t do this without you! We still need your help, so please keep spreading the word #SaveDublinZoo Donate, fundraise or adopt an animal at dublinzoo.ie Much love from a very emotional Dublin Zoo Team.”

Dublin Zoo is currently closed to the public due to coronavirus restrictions, but its care team are still looking after over 400 animals – to support the ‘Save Dublin Zoo’ campaign, you can make a donation, or adopt an animal through the zoo’s new adoption packs, here.
