Ellen Pompeo spoke to Entertainment Weekly, where she broke the news... and the hearts of many.
"I'm really excited to do some new things, it's about time that I mix it up and I'm really excited about my producing career, and I'm definitely looking for a change."

Anyway, there seems to be a glimmer of hope in this situation.
Yesterday, the the Grey's Anatomy superstar did an appearance on Ellen, where she put our minds at ease.
Speaking about the show, Ellen said "there's just no end in sight".
That's what we want to hear hun!
The actress went on to say that she's obligated to do season 16 according to her contract (YAS).
However, it sounds like she could be sticking around for more, if the show gets renewed.
Which it obviously will...
