"You have to be aware"
Blathnaid Treacy has opened up about the importance of announcing her pregnancy with sensitivity. The presenter explained that it is so important to be cautious when sharing baby news.
She told 2FM's Jennifer Zamparelli that society is getting better at talking about baby loss.
She also said people are more sensitive when it comes to pregnancy announcements.

The mum-to-be explained, "You have to be aware -- it's quite a sensitive subject, and you have to be careful [with] who you say it to, and how do you say it."
Blathnaid explained that we all know someone who has been affected by baby loss so being considerate is key. She said she wanted to be respectful when sharing her news because you never know what someone is going through.
She continued, "We're so much better at speaking about losses, and of course, I think everybody knows somebody who has suffered a loss.
"You just have to be a little bit more mindful, and a little bit more careful of how you approach things like that," she added.
Blathnaid revealed she was pregnant earlier this month.
She also shared that she is expecting a baby girl. The mum-to-be also said she is set to give birth in the summertime.
Alongside a series of photos of her cradling her bump, she wrote;
"We can't wait to meet you. Our little lady arrives this summer."
"Feeling so lucky and grateful," she added.
