“I did not assault these women.”

Sex and the City star Chris Noth has responded to claims he sexually assaulted two women.

The actor was accused of sexually assaulting two women, who disclosed their experiences in interviews with The Hollywood Reporter.

Both women approached the publication at separate times and do not know one another.

They both said Noth sexually assaulted them in 2004 and 2015.

The two women explained that the spinoff series And Just Like That triggered painful memories for both of them.

One woman, who was given the pseudonym Zoe, said Noth assaulted her in 2004. She said she met the actor at the high-profile firm in Los Angeles. The 22-year-old was working in an entry-level job at the time.

She said Noth assaulted her at his apartment in LA.

The other woman, given the pseudonym Lily, said she was 35 and working as a waitress in a New York nightclub when Noth assaulted her.

She said he sexually assaulted her when they went back to his New York apartment.

Noth has responded to the allegations and claims they are “categorically false”.

“The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false,” he said.

“These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago – no always means no – that is a line I did not cross,” he stressed.

The actor said both encounters were “consensual”.

“It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.”
